Testimonies

An amazing story of a Khmer Rouge survivor, Dareth Ly.

This is an amazing story that gives us a first hand view of what it was like to live through this terrible time in history.

Soon we will be returning to Battambang and continuing our ministry there. Please remember to pray for us and the nation of Cambodia. We thank you for your prayers and support.
BIBLE SCHOOL TESTIMONIES

We had the awesome privilege of hearing these testimonies from our students at their End of Year Bible School Celebrations.  What a joy for us to know how God is touching and changing lives at the Bible Schools.

Student School in Kirivong.

Student Testimony:
"I appreciate the Bible School come to this district. I learn a lot from the Bible School. The teaching was simple so I can understand. My knowledge is not high
I know more now from the Bible school that I joined...the will of God, how much God loves me and what He wants me to do. It made me to understand more about joy and love and dedication of my life through the Word of God. I know that I am important and I have value.

Some people go to Phnom Penh. They spend long long time cannot come to work, cannot, come to ministry. But here I spend sometimes 3 days, sometimes 4 days a month and I have time to work. I have time for ministry and I can do other things too. So I value the Pastors and the leaders so I learn a lot now to value people and myself. These people who go back 4 years to Bible School in Phnom Penh, I see the people come back very proud, and they not value the pastor in the countryside. But for me I learned that we are the children of God and have value too. We must honor each other. I have learned many things from Bible School. Thank you so much."

One Pastor's Testimony:
"I am a pastor of a small church in my home.  I prayed to go to Bible School but don't have money and it is too far for me to leave my farm and family for long times. Bible School make it easy for me to come and learn 4 days a month.  Before I not sure if what I am teaching is good.  I only went to weekend seminar to become Pastor.   Now after a year of going to the IVBI Bible School  (THC Bible School), I have lessons I can keep, and preach Bible from these lessons.  I very excited to learn more of God's Word. I have more confidence that I preach good now. It is good to come together with others to learn."

Student in KiriVong  Through tears of gratitude this Pastors wife shares:

My husband, Pastor Lak and I welcome you. I don't have good education but I feel like my heart is open to learn. I serve the Lord and say, God I serve you. Holy Spirit give me more ministry...give me more of your power. I see that people can go to Bible School because they have 12th grade education and are accepted there.

I only grade 4, so I don't know how I can go to Bible School. I want to learn God's Word and I pray a lot that God will make a way to go to Bible School.

I don't have money for Bible School...I only have small seed, but God bring the people here at our home for Bible School so now I can learn too. I pray for the people in Chhuk too, that God will bless them there with a Bible School. This year Bible School is here, but next year Bible School in Chhuuk for them as well. I am very happy for this. Sometimes I let my husband know and sometimes I don't, but I get up early and I pray for students. I am small education but I am good for the Lord to use. I got up early today and prayed for Bible School. I take time to cook good food for students and I pray while I cook that God bring all the students to Bible School today. At this time many people are busy with the rice harvest. So I pray, Lord open their heart to understand that God's Word is important for them. So I encourage you people here to come to Bible School and God will grow you more in His Word."
Testimony - Svay Reing

"Pastor Bunreth's teaching of the Word changed my life and really touched my heart. Before I just know a little bit of God's Word.  This year my heart has been changing a lot from the first lesson, "New Creations" to the last one "Ministering unto the Lord". Now I get rid of my doubts, and everything feels 100% very clear.  Maybe people here feels they need forgiveness of mistake, you must ask God for forgiveness of mistakes as I have done."

Testimony - Veal Vang
"I feel so joyful, I don't know where to start. God called me to come and study in this Bible School. If there was no God I might not be here.  It is because of God's grace He guided me to this place. I thank God I now complete 2nd year.  I am committed to serve God and share gospel and teach Bible to others.

This year I learned to give offering from the heart and tithe.  I remember lesson from Malachi 2:3 most. Everything is God's so when I read this I was amazed that it all belongs to God. The world doesn't know God and are not thankful, but we as Christians know Him. Giving offering, sacrificing our time, and tithing to God changed my heart. Really good lesson.  Thank you to teacher. I want classes to continue so I learn more. Sorry that as a student I didn't always listen well but I wants to apologize, and learn more of God's word."
Student From Pursat:
"Before when I'm not a student in Bible School my life was so afraid and I had a lot of temptation.  For sometime I felt scared.  The time that I came to study Bible I began to know and understand that I am so weak with the Word of God. Then I begin to understand more and more by the Word, I was doing wrong."

I say thank you Papa Don and Mama Maria to come here and start Bible School and our teachers Pastor Bunreth and Pastor Soquern.  Thank you so much for bringing the Word of God to give us strength and life.  This is a joy that I have.  Thank you so much.
