New Home

Entrance
We love our new home.  It is a typical Cambodian style home as far as colors and architecture.  They use a lot of heavy dark wood to decorate and of course lots of tile because of heat and humidity.  The owners rented it fully furnished, but took out the furniture we didn't need.  We are praising God as this is exactly what we asked Him for several weeks ago including a workshop for Don and it fits into the budget too.

Dinning room in kitchen with Pastor friends
The dinning room set is made out of very heavy wood.  Not our style but it works.

The sink in the kitchen was extremely low (for short people) but it was backed up for two days.  When the landlord came by to pick up the excess furniture, he looked at the sink, tried to fix it, then said we needed to have a new sink. He would have the workers come the next day and PTL they built it up higher so I don't have to bend so low to wash dishes.   I feel blessed.

Kitchen
This 3 bedroom home is surrounded by a large patio area and a work shop for Don...and all his stuff :)  Part of the fence had barbed wire on it. We asked that it be placed all around the property fence for us which they did.  This detracts thieves and such, although we're in a relatively safe area with lots of open space it's better to be safe.  Most of the homes in this area have it.

Thank you to all who donated funds to purchase
a vehicle. Here is our 98 Toyota 4-runner.
We're ready to get going now!!!

In two weeks we will be going out to teach a group of pastors from On The Frontline ministries, Inc. Jerry doesn't want to overwhelm us so he's going slow on filling the calendar which is good.  It is so amazing what God is doing here.   We met with the director of SunBeam Kids Orphanage, Sherry, who is from Indiana.  She is so excited to have us work with them as well.  A few months ago we were able to buy a stove with an oven from some missionaries returning to the States. We are now planning to have some of the older girls come over one day to do some baking with them, so the oven is going to be used quite a bit I think.
