Village Ministry with Poly and Sokim

Recently we visited a village that was about 2 1/2 hours away from us, however it took us almost 3 1/2 hours to get there due to the condition of the roads.  So much twisting and turning to get around the many potholes.  As our friend, Pastor Rodwell in Guyana would say, I've earned my PHD...pothole dodger degree.  (Also ducks and cows)

While it was a long drive, it was well worth it.  We traveled with our friends, Poly, his wife Sokim and little boy, Jacob.  They had some Samaritan boxes for children in this poor village, but they themselves had no way to travel to get them there, so we volunteered.  (Thank you again Lord for our vehicle!)
They told us the villagers were very poor and indeed they were, but we've seen several villages like this in Cambodia.  We brought the boxes in an met some of their friends in the village. After sharing the gospel with Poly interpreting, we were able to lead these women in prayer to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord.  How awesome is that!  The sad part about this is that there is no one in their village to feed them the Word and help them grow.  We are trying to arrange another trip for Poly to take them some Bibles in the next week or two before we leave for the States.  Please pray for these women who were so eager to receive Christ and know more about Him.

We later visited the village school.  Poly talked to the children about the Lord and we gave out pieces of candy, stickers and lots of love.
School House could use some repairing

Just one of many like villages in Cambodia that need Jesus.

Thankful we could leave some smiles behind.
