Back Home in Battambang September 3, 2015

It was good to come home.                                                                                                          
We were welcomed home with a sign in our livingroom put up by our friends, Anne and Anthony McCormick. God has blessed us with some very dear friends here in Battambang and we all look out for one another and worship together on Sunday nights at our house, which we have missed sinced we've been gone. However, we were also welcomed home with a storm that brought flooding into our front patio and house. 

There have been changes while we were gone. Our dry dusty road in front of our house has now been paved which is wonderful. Less dust flying around and getting into the house. However, you'll notice that the road in the picture below is quite a bit higher than our yard level and there's no drainage on these roads.  Also next door to us there is an empty lot that someone is getting ready for construction.

They have brought in dirt to raise the property level by 3 feet (that's also higher than us). All the drainage from that property is now coming into our yard along with the lose dirt which then makes it muddy mess.  Dear Jesus help us!

There's just no building regulations here, but the Joy of the Lord is our strength and we're still happy to be home!
