WHAT IS IT???

What is that thing?   Is it a monkey?  A lemur, or merecat?   No.  It's a Kinkajou.  On one of our trips into the Interior bush we met this little fella.  He lived with a family that needed to find a new home for him.  Don who likes monkeys fell in love with this little guy.  "Chewie" sleeps during the day and is awake at night.  Every evening Don lets him out of his cage for a while and into the house to investigate every corner, nook and cranny.

He eats mangos, coconut jelly and any fruit we have on hand. He definitely has a sweet tooth.  Chewie is part of the Panda, bear and raccoon family but some people call him a night monkey.

He's friendly and curious with everyone especially children and will check each one out thoroughly. Big hit with the children and adults!
He does get a little mischievous at times getting into cabinets that are off limits.  He does need a repentive heart.
