Getting Closer To Leaving

We are getting closer to our time of departure for Vietnam. We've moved out of the apartment, stored our furniture in the storage shed, sold the car and are now living out of suitcases, spending some of our time in Turlock with Don's son and family or in Modesto with friends.
This is the hard part for us now, waiting to leave with nowhere to really settle in. We are so looking forward to fully unpacking our suitcases.

We've had some wonderful times of blessing at our church, Calvary Temple,  speaking at other churches and visiting with friends and partners.

We are amazed at how God has paved the way and led us thus far. When we started we didn't have any funds to purchase the travel tickets and within two weeks of saying YES to the Lord, money began coming in for the trip. Thank you to all our donors who have partnered with us on this project. We know you will be rewarded just as if you were going with us! PTL

We will be leaving San Francisco on November 6th along with a group of 18 others. When we arrive we will be touring orphanages in Vietnam and Cambodia,  sharing at various schools and churches and meeting the local village people where we're staying. While the others will return home to the states 16 days later, Don and I will be staying to set up housekeeping on the Lotus House property.  Mark Nietz, of Why Not Now Ministries and his family will be coming to join us in June or July of next year.

From the pictures that we've seen and what we've heard, the house we will be staying in is adequate.  We understand that there is some furniture in the house, but we still need to purchase items, such as a bed mattress, bedding, probably dishes, etc. Don would like to purchase a small set of tools here, as we're told the quality will be better. This way he can begin fixing whatever and or making tables or closets.  These are items that we still need to raise funds for.   If God should put it on your heart to help in the purchasing of these items, we will once again rejoice in Gods goodness and your kindness.

I will continue to post every few as we travel on this new journey.  Keep us in prayer.  We love you and appreciate each one of you.

Maria & Don
