Hello Friends and Family,
We’re coming to the end of May and are having a great time visiting with family and friends along with ministering at various churches.  It’s amazing how the grandkids have grown older and taller in just the few months that we’ve been away.

We were able to attend of our granddaughter, Alexandria’s, High School Graduation as well as grandson, James' swim meet.

God also provided an opportunity for us to visit Don’s mother and family in Gladwin, Michigan.  The weather was great and we were able to spend some time on Pratt Lake, at Don’s sisters home. This is the area where Don grew up.

Don’s mother just turned 95 and still has her own apartment and can be very quick witted.  We were  able to take her with us for a ride on the lake in a pontoon.

The pontoon ride was great, but then Don talked me into Kayaking, YIKES!  We got into his brother-in-law’s Kayaks and I prayed I wouldn’t roll over.  God was gracious to me!

We had a wonderful time and on the Lake. Thank you Bob and Barb for a great time at your place.

We are back in Modesto now.  Don’s eye appointment went well but I’m needing to have some minor surgery on my knee which has been bothering me some.  Nothing major, just in and out stuff and then we’ll be heading back to Vietnam.

Now that we have a time set for returning, we can focus on getting packed and ready to go.

We’ve been in contact with Mark Neitz and continue to be encouraged as plans for the Lotus House orphanage are moving right along.  The Neitz have set their date to move to Vietnam in August.  We’ll be glad when they get there and we have someone to talk to in English!

Its amazing to me how this city girl, born and raised in San Francisco finds it so exciting to be out in the middle of God’s creation in spite of all the crawlies and snakes heat etc. Yet I know when you’re in God’s will, his peace prevails and His call is sure.  Kingdom work is the BEST!

From Don,
Maria & I want you to know that we believe in you and God’s ability in you to live a blessed life.  We are praying for you according to the prayers in Ephesians 1:17 – 19 (Amplified Translation) which goes like this:  Father God we lift before you the people who support us in all the different ways of this ministry and we ask that You will continue to increase the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Jesus Christ).  By having the eyes of their understanding flooded with light, so that each one can know and understand the hope to which You have called them and how unlimited and immeasurable is the surpassing greatness of Your power that is in and for us who believe.  AMEN in Jesus Name.

There is much more in those verses that you may want to study.  It will help you to understand some of the great things that God has made available for you.

Blessings to you all.

Your missionaries,

Don and Maria Whitney
