Wow....I'm so excited. I've was able to get back on the blog just a few minutes ago.  Sooo, I will take advantage and try to bring you up to date with some new posts and pictures.

As some of you know, when we arrived our first project was to get the small house in back remodeled for us to live in.  Mark Nietz, wife Jessica and family will be moving in the larger home we're in now.  They will be here around the first of September along with two others.  (Airline prices drop dramatically then.)  You can visit their blog at www.whynotnowministries.org and find out more information on Lotus House Ministries.

The area we are moving into is basicly two rooms with a bathroom.  There was an attached pigpen to the right of the house that will soon be a 1 room studio apartment for workers or guests.  We are also attaching on the left side an 8 x 15 Shed area.

The house had no glass in the windows or doors and has been occupied by critters and crawlies....!

Used to be the pig pen area
We been here now for 4 weeks and things have been moving along fairly steady with just a few bumps in the road.  We are so thankful for everyone's prayers.  Trying to work in an environment which is strange to your own, plus having a language barrier can be difficult at times.

Below are some pictures of the progress so far.

It may look like a large area in the pictures, but the entire project is only 900 square feet.

Don taking a break
So as you can see things are moving along here.  This is only the beginning of additional buildings that will soon be providing loving and safe homes for abused children.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to move forward for the Kingdom of God.
