Hello from Battambang, Cambodia,

Prov 16:3 Ampl.  Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed."

What an awesome scripture.  As we commit and trust wholly in Him, and listen for the instruction of His Holy Spirit, we begin to think as He would and become agreeable with His will. He then establishes our plans with success. How awesome is our that!

Thinking about the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday, we are reminded of God's goodness to us. We are amazed at the ways God has worked in our lives as we have totally put our trust in Him. He brings awesome testimonies to encourage us when things don't seem to be moving the way we think they should. When we have a low month financially, he comes through with extra. He has opened doors for two additional Bible Schools which will start in January. He has brought us many new friends both
foreigner and Cambodian, who share the same love of God that we do.

He has found us a church for fellowship, and has given us a church family that we have learned to love. While it's a Cambodian church, they have an excellent translator that has also become a new friend.

We find great joy reminding ourselves of God's goodness, not just on Thanksgiving Day but each and everyday.  May your holiday also bring special memories and thanksgiving to you and your families.

Following HIM.  Your Missionaries,

Don and Maria Whitney
PROMOTION CELEBRATION
The month of October is the end of the year for our Bible Schools and the month for giving out completion certificates followed by a celebration meal.  This month we had the pleasure of attending promotion services for
the two Bible schools, one in the city of Pursat with 23 students and the other in the village of Svay Reing with 18 students.

THE HOUSE, CAMBODIA BIBLE SCHOOL - PURSAT

The Pursat school has truly excelled this year.  From this school we are raising two new Pastor/leaders that will soon be teaching at two new schools starting in January. The teachers for each location will be meeting quarterly for two days with us, to strengthen the teachings for the next three months starting in January.

We are exciting to see how God is opening doors to bring the Word of God to areas that would not normally have an opportunity to study and grow through the availability of a Bible School. Hosea 4:6  reminds us ..."My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."

THC
BIBLE SCHOOL, SVAY REING

Svay Reing Bible School is located on a farm in a village where many of the students are farm workers or they work in the rice fields.  This is a very poor area.  These students cannot afford to travel to a Bible School in the city much less dream of paying for attending a traditional Bible School.  THC Bible Schools bring the International Victory Bible Institute curriculum to the people making it possible for those in remote areas to study God's Word.

Pastor's and believers with little formal education and almost no Bible School training are being raised up to strengthen their churches and communities with the solid Word of God. Those who have been timid or shy about sharing their faith are growing bolder as they
study courses like "The Authority of the Believer, and the Book of Acts.  Many have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit during the school year, empowering them to boldly share their faith.

These lives are being changed through the power of the Word.

NEW FRIENDS AND FELLOWSHIP
As missionaries, it's hard to leave your home church that you love, and are familiar with. However, God always has different ways to feed you spiritually if you keep your focus on Him. We have been fed through His Word and various church podcast and Youtube teachings including our own home churches' live stream broadcasts on the internet.
We had been attending a church here since arriving, but we still did not feel at home, and most of the churches are all in the Khmer language which leaves you feeling still hungry.
Dinner w/Pstr and family

This month God introduced us to a little Cambodian church of about 60 to 80 people who have now become our church family.  While the service is mostly in the Khmer language, they have an excellent english speaking interpreter and the Pastor speaks some english as well. We have gotten to know the Pastor, and his family and are feeling quite at home.  God is good!

Chris and Phally new friends
Pastor Phon and Don

Don gets to preach occasionally at the church, which always gives him great joy!

While there is much to share this month we're a little late with our letter due to long travels to and from the Bible Schools, so we will save it all for next time.

Blessings to each of you, especially during the Holiday Season. Know that we love and appreciate you partnering with us in the Cambodian Harvest Field.  For those of you who follow us but have not considered support, we ask that you pray and see if God would want you to consider a monthly gift, small or large!! for the ministry here in Cambodia. It would be greatly appreciated and help with our monthly budget expenses.  Instructions for donating are at the top left side of the page. Thank you for your continued prayers and kind comments about our ministry here in Battambang.  We love you and pray for you often.

Your Missionaries,

Don and Maria Whitney
