Visit to New Hope School This Week
This week we visited our friends at New Hope School. New Hope is an afterschool program which teaches children English and Bible. It is run by our friend, Outh Sarith. They often have as many as 300 students coming in a day between afternoon classes and morning classes.
These children come from a very poor village. Sometimes the Budhist parents get upset because of the Christian teaching, but they continue to let their children attend because of the importance of learning the English language. Sarith and his staff our doing an awesome work here with a small amount of funds. We try to help whenever we can by telling them Bible stories or blessing them with a Christian Movie, when we bring our projector in. It's a big deal to see a big screen too!
