God's Goodness...So much to be Thankful for!

A few weeks ago we were awaken early one morning to find our office window screen and window were opened. When we looked closer my heart sank as we realized that my computer was missing. The window had been pried open and my computer had been removed through the window along with it's backup drive and power cords. For those of you who have their life, work and/or ministry attached to these wonderful tools we use, I know you can understand how I was feeling. Hours and hours of work, Bible School records, newsletters and of course pictures gone. I had been so diligent about backing everything up, but the back up was now gone too!

What the enemy meant for evil, God turned it around for His glory.  We are so grateful to God, The House, Modesto and Pastor Berteau for coming to our rescue and replacing the computer, which was not in our budget to do. What a blessing! It's being brought over from the states, as I write, by our friend, Mike Norton, who just happened to be coming this way to visit us this month. God's timing is perfect. It would have been difficult to find a quality computer here that would last but when God comes through, it's never mediocre.

There have been other neat blessings that we've experience this month when we could have been down and under, but God....
  • We had the opportunity to lead 3 young teens to the Lord...."Take that Devil".
  • Just before the computer was taken, we had finished the preparation and printing of all the Bible school student's certificates.
  • We received an offer of IT help when we get the new computer to back things up on line.
  • Also an offer to help with bookkeeping and setting up our Quickbook files.
  • Don received more opportunities to preach.
  • We're able to spend Thanksgiving this year with friends...the Nietz family from Why Not Now Ministries, Mike Norton, M16 from the States, and Ann and Anthony McCormick Missionaries living here from New Zealand.
While we are missing our family, at least this year we won't be along during the Holidays. There have been many times these last 7 years it's just been the two of us, plus the Lord.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families as you remember God's goodness in your lives.
