Jerome Update
Jerome, is wearing a very happy smile here. As we took this picture he was saying thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped him get the new boat engine.
He was one "Happy Camper" He received the engine at our home and opened the box checking every envelope and small package that came with it.
His wife Joan also came on the trip. It was her first time out of the bush area. First time to ride in a car too. Everything seemed brand new to her, not just the engine. She loves to sing and worship the Lord, so we had a sweet time of worship and taught her new choruses to take back to their church.
Soon it was time to say goodbye and prepare to take them to the river with their new boat engine. He couldn't wait to get in on his little boat.

Packing up to leave at the Healing Hands Bible School boat dock, Joan is given a puppy to take back to the children. Looking at her smile, I think it was more for her!
It's always hard to say goodbye to good friends that you love. I felt like I was saying goodbye to my kids. You know they call me mom! Funny how Don is Pastor Don, but I'm Mom!
It took them two 1/2 days to get from their home to our home in the 5hp
engine. Going home it only took 12 hours on the river with their new 15hp engine.
Soon they will be making another trip to the Venezuelan Border to carry food or clothing but always the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thanks to all who were able to support this project. I wish you could have heard Jerome thanking you over and over into the camera!
