Rain, Rain, Rain

Rain, Rain, Rain.

Weather seems to be the focus around town here. There has been lots of rain and flooded roads almost everywhere you turn.  At our house the rains have come down the road and flooded the patio areas up to the first step to the house.

Guest coming over on my Birthday!

Thank you Jerry, Wilma and Shari

Jerry, Wilma and Shari came over on my Birthday making their way through the various flooded roads.  We shared a movie and pop corn.  Good to have seasoned missionary friends to fellowship with.

So thankful our car is higher off the ground

We recently heard that a bridge leading to Battambang, from the capitol, Phnom Penh has collapsed.
Food supplies coming from Phnom Penh are now cut off as this is the only bridge on the main highway between us and the capitol.  This has brought the market prices up considerably.  As an example, a papaya that costs .25 has now gone up to $1.00.

The Sunbeam Kids Orphanage, which we work with, is also having a hard time getting enough available food and dealing with the higher prices that are not covered in their budget.

In spite of all this, we're all safe and in good spirits knowing that our God is able to supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory and keep us safe regardless of any inconvenience or discomfort, and for the most part, we're still dry!

loaf of bread

One good thing....the water isn't cold :)
