Things are pretty quiet around here at this time. Most of the people are gearing up the "Old Year Day" which means New Years Eve to us. We've been invited to attend a Thanksgiving on that day. Here they don't just have one day a year for Thanksgiving. They have a Thanksgiving Day whenever something good happens or when they feel especially grateful for something. One family can have several Thanksgivings a year, but most only have one on the day they choose.
This particular Thanksgiving will be at the home of a friend which lives on the Pomeroon River.
This same family pictured here, visited with us on "Boxing Day" (The day after Christmas) We gave Wayne one of the Bibles we brought back from the States.
That night, (New Years Eve) Don will be preaching at a church in Charity, down the road from us.

Today Don went fishing in the canal at the back of the house. I was upstairs when I heard him yelling for me to come down. Low and behold...he caught his first real fish here in Guyana!
He'd only been out there a short time but boy was he happy camper!
