Stitches Out!

Still feeling a little weak from surgery, Don visited the Surgeon to get his 39 staples out.  Here he sits anxiously awaiting the doctor to enter the room.  "Will it hurt?"

Through a series of events, God led us to this awesome doctor at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital.  His title is:
Clinical Assistant Professor, Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, Anterior Skull Base Surgery & Microvascular Reconstruction Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery.  He is also on the Doctors Tumor Board at Stanford University.  Only God could have put us together with this man.

Dr. Sirjani was very careful and gracious to let me take pictures of this solemn event. He told us that the pathology report from the limph nodes, taken from Don's cheek and neck along with the shaving of the bone near his eye, showed absolutely no cancer cells in them.  Praise be to God. He will still need the radiation treatment starting in a few weeks just to make sure nothing undetected is left.

What an awesome God we serve!
