Praise God we're finally here at the property.

We arrived at the property yesterday.  We feel we have accomplished much since we arrived thanks to our new friend Duong (Yueng). We picked Duong up on our way to the property along with her mom who wanted to see where her daughter would possibly live.   Duong is a University study who will be graduating in March from the Information Technology University in Ho Chi Minh City.

She has a heart for poor children and wants to work as an assistant project manager for a charitable organization.  Just in two days she has been invaluable to us and we love her already.

On the way to the property we did some household shopping.  Bought several items includng mattresses and other household items  In HCMC we bought a stove, pots, and two fans,

We had no internet but today they came and set us up temporarily until Monday when we'll have Wifi.

Looks like we will need a refrigerator, but there are other pressing items first.

Points of interest:

  • Don will have to fix the sink in the washroom which has no water flowing through it and  also the shower.  He's picking up supplies now.
  • We saw a snake in the yard gobbling up a toad yesterday.  The next door neighbor killed it.
  • During the night there was a lot of activity in the ceiling.  We figured rats or bats, however,  this morning the long tail of a snake hung down through a crack in the ceiling.  We think it's eating rats which is why it sounded like a war up there.  Soooo, PTL, here I am, Me and the Lord and the snakes in the ceiling while Don goes with Duong and the neighbor to find  tape or whatever to secure and possibly kill the critters in the ceiling.
  • I think the snake is sleeping now...it's had its breakfast and it's full.
Just another day in Vietnam.... Amazed at God's peace!

You all better be praying for us.  :)
