Slums

Today I am staying in the hotel for rest.  I've developed a cold and not feeling very well.  Actually I'm enjoy the quiet time as well, and being able to catch up a little with my postings.

Continuing on with our journey where we are now in Cambodia, yesterday we visited an incredible ministry where God's treasures are being cared for.  Where broken vessels are being mended and renewed.

One building we went into used to be used for dark purposes.  Now it is used to bring light into the community.  We even viewed a small dingy room that was kept intact as to not forget what God had accomplished there.  Wish I could share more but for safety reasons I'm holding back.

We also went to the slum area to visit a school. Here the children are washed down and bathed before they can sit in the classroom.  They live in a garbage heap area.  When we first came to the school, it was hard to imagine that these children lived in those conditions.  They looked happy and fairly clean.

The man who runs this school is a Heaven's Hero.  A local pastor who has given these children an opportunity for an education and a future.  Don and I will be speaking at his church on Sunday.

In the afternoon we visited the Chab Dai office.  They are a coalition of NGO's, (non governmental agency) that work with trafficking and exploitation prevention organizations.  It was a very information meeting and we will be partnering with them in the future.  Agape is another organization we visited and where blown away at the awesome work they are doing in Cambodia.

Tired and have to rest now.  Had trouble loading pictures here but there are some on fb that are safe to publish.

Keep us in prayer.  And by the way PTL money came in for us to purchase a scooter so we can get around after this tour is over.  God you are sooooo awesome!
