God you are sooo good to us.

A couple of days ago when, we got back from Cambodia, the bus dropped us off in the village of Madagui.  We were able to signal a cab driver to take us, and our luggage to the house.  What a devine appointment that was.  Somehow, by the grace of God, we were able to communicate to him which way we needed to go and which road to turn off on.  When he got us home, he helped carry the luggage to the porch and before he left he pointed to the telephone number on the cab so we could call him if we needed him.  That was the beginning of our freedom!!!

You need to understand that we are not able to have our own motorcycle yet, and it's a little over a mile from the main road that leads to the market, which means food... vegetables, milk, meat and other supplies.  Up until now we've had to rely on riding on the back of someone's motorbike, if we could find someone to take us to the road that is.  Since our interpreter left, we've felt a little confined.  But now, all we have to do is call the taxi driver's number.  We're the only American's around... so he knows who we are, and where to find us!

Today we called him, (Thueng) and he was here in about 10 minutes.  We needed to go to an ATM,  do some food shopping and Don needed to go to a hardware store to pick up a drill and some screws so he could fix some things in the house, but how do you communicate all that with hand signals?????

Thueng, knew where to take us when we showed him our grocery list, which I translated using my dictionary.  He had taken us there last week.  He not only took us there, but also went to the different stands finding the items on the list for us.  He seemed to also check that we were getting good prices. (God always takes care of us!)  Today, however, we found it difficult to communicate all that we needed.  He headed down a street that we didn't recognize.  Soon he stopped in front of a house, ran in and called for a lady to come out.  Praise God, this Vietnamese lady spoke English.  She led us into a room that looked like a classroom.  We found out she teaches English to 10 students and was so happy to meet us.  Her name is Dang.  We got her phone number before we left.  Praise God we have someone else to call,  that can translate over the phone for us if needed,  and she's close by.  Dang is going to bring some students over to our home on Thursday to practice conversational English with us.  The students here learn book English, so it's a treat to be able to actually practice with Americans.  She even told us where we could get a white board for our children's classes. We're looking forward to the visit.

We left there, got to the hardware store where Don got his drill, went to get the whiteboard, then on to the outdoor supermarket for food.  We felt so independent, yet realizing how really dependent we are on our Lord and how much He understands and wants to supply our every need.

All in all it's been a great day!  Thank you Jesus for your angels watching over us and directing our footsteps.

This morning I read Luke 12: 29-32  - vs 32 says
"....For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom".
I love my heavenly Daddy!
