Just Life In Vietnam

Today I got my hands on some baking powder and flour and played some in the kitchen.  I don't have a regular (Stateside) stove with oven and burners.  What I have is a two burner camping stove that sits on the counter and a toaster oven.

Well I made some homemade biscuits... comfort food!  They tasted so good, that there's none left.  Sooo, did they taste good because we have found bread items to be scarce or limited here, or were they reeally that good??

This morning Don went to unlock the gate with his "Jesus is Lord" t-shirt on.  The day started early with workers coming through the gate on their motorcycles.  He went out to talk with the construction boss.  Quoc pointed at the T-shirt and nodded his head in question as if to say, "Do you believe in Jesus?"  Don said yes and pointed to him, as if to say "Do you?" Quoc said yes too.

Simple exchange with not a lot of words, but the light of Jesus never fails to shine.

Even where we're at Lord, let our light always shine for you through our actions, and your love demonstrated through us to those you send across our path.

Here are some of our little neighborhood friends that hang out and come to learn English twice a week.  We just love them and have a lot of fun with them too!
