Our friend, Yolin

A Few days ago we got to visit our friend Yolin.  What a tremendous spirit this man has.  Nothing seems to be too difficult for him, not even the fact that he has no fingers on his hand and only stumps on his feet. He has an amazing story, having lived through the Khmer Rouge era, and how he finally lost his finger and feet due to leprosy, but He loves the Lord and is determined to serve Him any way that he can.  No sitting around feeling sorry for yourself here!

He and his wife pick up children in a rickety old cart pulled by his old motto, and take them about two miles, over bumpy dusty roads just so they can be at church and learn about our God.

They are simple people who live on a small piece of land and try to farm whatever they can grow on the land from sweet potatoes to curry.

Grandma is 86 years old

As poor as they are, they have taken in their daughter's two children and are raising them as well.  In the above picture Yolin is leaning over the playpen he built for his granddaughter.
Don's trying to get a free ride!!!
