Feb Newsletter Highlights

Don and I sometimes feel like we have to pinch ourselves, realizing how blessed we are to be on the mission field, touching and changing lives for the Kingdom of God.  We meet new people every day.  Some are believers wanting to grow in their walk, while others are intently watching us to see what this Christianity is all about.  Sometimes, it's all about physical work, paperwork and the like, but we rejoice in every effort that ultimately points lives to the Truth, Salvation and growth.

While we are still going out preaching and teaching in various provinces, working with the boys in Don's Wood Shop and my girls Bible club from Sunbeam Orphanage, these next 3 months are going to be very, very busy and we covet your prayers.  Jerry and Wilma Mishler, founders of Sunbeam Kid's Orphanage and On The Frontline Ministries, Intl., will be leaving for a stateside visit the first of March.  We will be covering their ministry responsibilities while they are gone.  You might think that shouldn't be such a big prayer request, however, let me give you some additional information to enlighten you and help you see our desperate need for prayer...!

Sunbeam Kid's Village Clubs minister to 48,000 children weekly sometimes meeting under trees to worship and learn about Jesus.  Monthly Bible packets have to be put together for the 300+ leaders who come from 13 different provinces to meet for fellowship, teaching and to pick up their materials for the following month.  This involves a lot of printing, collating and packaging boxes and boxes of materials and crayons.

Along with the Sunbeam Kids arm of the ministry, their are hundreds of On The Frontline churches. Altogether we are helping build the Kingdom of God in Cambodia every month touching the lives of over 100,000 adults and children, and it's all Cambodians teaching Cambodians.  Awesome!  Don is teaching the leaders and pastors at their leadership meetings so they can take it all back to their churches and communities.  This is not big crusades, but a grassroots Holy Ghost fire that keeps on growing and growing through small home churches and pastors who are raised up with an evangelist message to win the lost. Hat's off to Jerry and Wilma for obeying God 12 years ago when they arrived in Cambodia and began establishing this ministry. We are so honored to be a part of this end time harvest field.

All in all it's been a good month and we know our Father God will help us through the next 3 month to get everything done that needs doing.  We will be working on preparations for coming home the end of May as well.  Looking forward to seeing family and as many of you as we can.  It will be a two-month stay in the states for us, but time has a way of slipping by quickly... More on this later.

May you be blessed in every possible way with the goodness of our Lord,

Don and Maria Whitney
