Bangkok Trip
Last week we look a trip to Bangkok traveling approximately 7+ hours. We needed to make this trip to get ourselves acquainted with doctors at the Bangkok Hospital. A very impressive place I might add. We had Don checked out with the dermatologist which he needs to do every 6 months to a year. And also had his eyes checked out again as the retina swelling was bringing on some blurry vision. But we're praising God for his healing touch which comes in various ways. These doctors were familiar with the shots Don got in the states and were able to give him another one here. It's already starting to clear his eye. We will have to make another trip in December as a followup though. While it's always expensive to travel, it still beats flying back to the states. This way we have doctors nearby here that we can go to, and they'll have a file on us. I got checked out as well.
All in all it was a pretty good learning trip. Went through the borders OK and we didn't get lost in that crazy bumper to bumper traffic, with non English speaking taxi drivers. We've never seen so many freeways crisscrossing each other and such long traffic jams. It was a short trip and we weren't able to see much due to funds and time, but we did get to go eat at a Thai Barbecue restaurant. You Barbecue your meat right at the table. It was a fun and delicious reward at the end of a very busy day.
