Update - Don

We've been in California now since June 28th.  Don has had several blood tests and a biopsy to determine what the large growth on the side of his temple is.  The preliminary diagnosis, we are told is that he has a squamas skin cancer.  While this is not life threatening, it can present serious problems for him if not removed quickly.  The good news is that it has not attached to the bone nor the sensitive eye/face nerve that is nearby.  Today we were told that we still have to wait to meet with the doctors in Palo Alto at the Veterans Hospital there.  That appointment won't be till next week and we find it difficult to keep waiting on this.  It needs to be surgically removed as soon as possible.

We're thankful for the care that Don is getting and the thoroughness of each medical visit.  Just anxious!

We're making several trips back and forth to Fresno from Tracy which makes Don tired because of the antibiotics that he's presently taking, but his spirits are high and so is his faith.

We are staying in a small motorhome on my daughter's property, provided by her In-laws.  We are blessed to have this little gettaway home.  Even though it doesn't getaway much.  My daughter and her family live in the outskirts of Tracy, CA., in the country.  It's quiet here which is nice, but we miss the tropical sounds of our Guyana.

We've been corresponding with our friends in Guyana via internet regularly.  The afterschool Good News Club is continuing, though at a different location.  Our Champion Bible School students are anxious for us to come back so school can start again.  We are anxious too!

Please continue to keep us in your prayers and agree with us for God's complete and speedy healing.  We're not going to let the devil when this battle.  He is already defeated!

Ps 27:2  "When the wicked and even my enemies and my foes came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell."
